ClassWiz sticky note overview and basic operations
The ClassWiz sticky note is a scientific calculator emulator that allows you to use the same functions and operations as an actual ClassWiz scientific calculator (hardware).
Not only does it give you access to the exact same functions as a ClassWiz scientific calculator, it can also automatically generate a range of sticky notes (graphs, numerical tables, etc.) from the entered data and calculation results.
MEMO
This section explains the operations of the ClassWiz sticky note. For details of the scientific calculator functions and operations, refer to the ClassWiz scientific calculator user’s guide.

Duplicating the calculation screen (Calculation Screen sticky note)
You can duplicate and display the calculation screen from a ClassWiz sticky note in a “Calculation Screen sticky note”.
- To create a Calculation Screen sticky note
- Click the ClassWiz sticky note to select it.
- Click on the tool palette.
This creates a Calculation Screen sticky note that is linked to the selected ClassWiz sticky note.
MEMO
Deleting the ClassWiz sticky note simultaneously deletes the linked Calculation Screen sticky note.
- To resize a Calculation Screen sticky note
- Click the Calculation Screen sticky note you want to resize to select it.
- Drag the in the bottom-right corner of the Calculation Screen sticky note.
Capturing the calculation screen image (Image Capture sticky note)
You can capture an image of the current calculation screen and place it on the Paper as a standalone sticky note (Image Capture sticky note).
- To capture an image of the calculation screen
- Use the scientific calculator emulator to display the calculation screen you want to capture.
- Click on the tool palette.
This captures the currently displayed calculation screen and creates an Image Capture sticky note. The image is also copied to the clipboard at the same time.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 above as many times as needed to create multiple Image Capture sticky notes.
Up to 100 capture image stickies can be created.
MEMO
An Image Capture sticky note is not deleted when you close the source ClassWiz sticky note.
- Image Capture sticky note tool palette
Clicking an Image Capture sticky note to select it displays its tool palette.
The functions of the icons are shown below.
Icon | Function |
---|---|
Copies the captured image to the clipboard. | |
When is clicked (selected), this icon specifies whether a frame is placed around the captured image copied to the clipboard. On — Framed Off — Unframed |

*You can also resize the image by dragging the in the bottom-right corner of the sticky note.
Displaying the key log (Key Log sticky note)
The input history (key log) for the scientific calculator emulator is displayed in the Key Log sticky note.
- To create a Key Log sticky note
- Click the ClassWiz sticky note to select it.
- Click on the tool palette.
This creates a Key Log sticky note that is linked to the selected ClassWiz sticky note.
MEMO
Deleting the ClassWiz sticky note simultaneously deletes the linked Key Log sticky note.
- Key Log sticky note tool palette
Clicking a Key Log sticky note to select it displays its tool palette.
The functions of the icons are shown below.
Icon | Function |
---|---|
Specifies the text (key) display size. | |
Copies the text (keys) in the selected range. Copied content can be pasted into a Text sticky note or into another app*. | |
Selects all the text (keys) in the Key Log sticky note. | |
Deletes all the text (keys) in the Key Log sticky note. |
* If you paste the content of a Key Log sticky note into another app, a dedicated font must be installed on your computer for the text (keys) to display correctly. For details, see here.
Automatically generating sticky notes from content shown on the calculation screen
You can automatically generate various sticky notes, such as graphs and numerical tables, based on the data and calculation results currently shown on the scientific calculator emulator’s calculation screen.
MEMO
Sticky notes are automatically generated using the ClassWiz scientific calculator’s QR code function. Accordingly, the operations described here cannot be carried out if the scientific calculator emulator model selected in the ClassWiz sticky note does not have a QR code function.
QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in enpan and in other countries.
- To automatically generate a sticky note from scientific calculator emulator calculation results
- Click the ClassWiz sticky note to select it.
- Select Calculation mode in the scientific calculator emulator and run the calculations below.
- Click on the tool palette.
This automatically creates a sticky note (read-only sticky note*) with the same content as that shown on the scientific calculator emulator’s calculation screen.
* A sticky note showing the input expression and output result.
You cannot edit the content, but you can copy the input expression and calculation result lines individually. Right-click the line you want to copy and then click “Copy expression” in the menu that appears.
This will copy the expression to the clipboard (as a LaTeX string). The copied content can then be pasted into items such as a Math sticky note.
MEMO
If you click , the ClassPad.net angle unit is automatically switched to the unit set in the scientific calculator emulator.
The calculation result shown in the scientific calculator emulator may differ from the result shown in the read-only sticky note.
Clicking when there is no data entered or when a menu screen is displayed will cause an error message to appear.
Automatically generated sticky notes are not deleted when you delete the source ClassWiz sticky note.
